So you’ve just joined Planet Fitness, congrats! Whether you joined online or in-person, you’re now part of a community of 10 million members worldwide. Part of being a Planet Fitness member is having a key tag which gives you access to all of our 2000+ locations. In this guide, we’ll walk you through everything you need to know about your key tag, from how to get it to how to use it.
What is a Planet Fitness key tag?
Your Planet Fitness key tag is your all-access pass to our gyms. It’s what you’ll use to check-in at the front desk and to access all of our equipment and amenities. If you joined online, your key tag should arrive in the mail within 10 business days. If you joined in-person, you should have received your key tag at the time of sign-up.
How do I get my Planet Fitness key tag?
If you joined Planet Fitness online, your key tag should arrive in the mail within 10 business days. If you joined in-person, you should have received your key tag at the time of sign-up. If for some reason you didn’t receive your key tag or you lost it, don’t worry! You can always request a new one.
To request a new key tag, you can:
- Visit the front desk of any Planet Fitness location
- Call Member Services at 1-800-433-4300
- Fill out this form
There is a $5 replacement fee for lost key tags, which will be charged to the credit or debit card on file.
How do I use my Planet Fitness key tag?
Your key tag is how you’ll check-in to all Planet Fitness locations. To check-in, just scan your key tag at the front desk. You can also use your key tag to access our lockers, to check-out equipment from the front desk, and to make purchases at the café.
If you’re a PF Black Card member, your key tag will also give you access to our HydroMassage beds and tanning booths (where available). To use these amenities, just scan your key tag at the HydroMassage bed or tanning booth.
How do I cancel my Planet Fitness membership?
We’re sorry to see you go, but we understand that sometimes life happens and plans change. If you need to cancel your Planet Fitness membership, you can do so by visiting the front desk of any Planet Fitness location or by calling Member Services at 1-800-433-4300.
When you cancel your membership, you’ll be asked to provide a reason for cancelling as well as your contact information so we can reach out and see if there’s anything we can do to change your mind.
