How we collect, use, and protect your information.
Last updated: August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how AnswerCatch ("AnswerCatch", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit answercatch.com, create an account, or use our AI receptionist and missed-call recovery services (the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here.
We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the Services, and limited information collected automatically.
We use the information we collect to:
A core function of the Services is answering phone calls on your behalf. In doing so, we may process information about the people who call your business ("callers"), including their name, phone number, service address, the nature of their request, appointment details, and a summary of the call.
This caller data is collected on your behalf and for your business purposes. As the business owner, you are responsible for informing your callers, where required by law, that calls may be answered, recorded, transcribed, or summarized by an automated system, and for obtaining any consent required in your jurisdiction. We process this data to deliver the Services to you and do not sell it.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the Services:
We use essential cookies and similar browser storage (such as local storage) to keep you signed in and to operate core features. For details, see our Cookie Policy.
We use industry-standard safeguards — including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security on our database so each account can only access its own data — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data as described below.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update most of your information from your dashboard, or contact us to exercise these rights. You may also opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
The Services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
